CAS Offers Workshops to New York Beginning Producers

Custom Ag Solutions recently continued its work on a 2018-2020 partnership with the USDA’s Risk Management Agency to provide Farming is Risky Business (FRB) workshops to New York beginning producers. CAS held workshops at 12 different locations reaching approximately 465 New York beginning producers.

The FRB workshops serve to introduce beginning producers to core risk and risk management concepts and to inform producers of the availability, benefits, and limitations of Federal crop insurance programs. Under the partnership, CAS presenters conducted workshops in several locations across New York.

CAS appreciates the assistance of the New York FFA who helped to coordinate workshop locations. CAS also notes the cooperation and contributions of the many talented New York Ag-Ed instructors working in schools around the state.
