Clif Parker, a Custom Ag Solutions educator, made a thirty minute presentation to 165 farmers and agribusiness leaders attending the Massachusetts/Connecticut Tobacco Growers Meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, in Suffield, Connecticut. Cliff highlighted the tobacco program and USDA-RMA's Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) and the Adjusted Gross Revenue-Lite (AGR-Lite) programs. He emphasized how these programs could fit into producers’ risk management strategies and how the programs could positively affect their overall operations.
Clifton also informed producers that the new FSA SURE program would be based on Federal Crop Insurance Liability and NAP Liability. He informed them that the higher the levels of coverage they take on, the higher level they will receive under the SURE program. |
