CAS' Shylea Wingard recently made stops at the Oklahoma and Rhode Island FFA State Conventions, in Oklahoma City and Exeter, respectively. Presenting CAS' Farming is Risky Business presentation, Wingard was able to share valuable information about risk management and crop insurance to attending beginning ag producers. Attendees participated in CAS' farm simulation game which allows participants to make decisions for a hypothetical farm which they manage.
Arriving first in Oklahoma City, Wingard joined the blue-jacketed participants at Cox Convention Center for the 89th State Convention and Trade Show on April 28. Wingard's workshops featured discussion about farming and managing risk in the Sooner State.
Later that week, Wingard traveled to Exeter, Rhode Island as a featured guest at the Rhode Island FFA State Convention on April 30. Participants discussed the features and benefits of crop insurance policies such Nursery Insurance and Whole Farm Revenue Protection.
